You are welcomed to join whenever you are ready. This isn't a diet, but a lifestyle upgrade. I personally resolved to follow the new plan for one year, but ultimately for my life. We each only have one life, remember? Let's resolve to make it the best, including the healthiest!
Every Tuesday beginning January 12, please email me at charmofthecarolines@comcast.net and let me know your name and how much weight you've lost for the previous week. You do not have to tell me how much you weigh. Believe me, I don't plan to tell you how much I weigh. Then on Wednesdays I will post the total of our group's weight loss. We can see how we are all doing and by showing our weight loss as a group even a tiny little weight loss that one person may have had will add up to be tons of weight lost each and every week.
To begin, please write a comment about your goal. Is it to lose weight, make better choices, learn to eat better, exercise more or what?
I thought it would be a good idea to link up everyone who is going to be in the A BETTER ME GROUP so I'll attempt to add Mr. Linky. Just add your name to the list and then everyone can come visit you at your blog to say hi and leave a word of encouragement. If you don't have a blog, send me an email and let me know if you would like for me to list your first name and email address so others can send you notes of encouragement.
And others:
Bonnie
Greg
Jen
Caroline
Andy
Christy
Lisa

I'd love to join.

Are we talking "New Years Resolution" dieting and exercise here? If so, I'm not ready just yet - have a ton of holiday goodies to eat up first. :)

I'll join you, but I'm not starting until 2 January... until then, I plan to do irreparable harm to my heart and liver. And I should go ahead confess it, I refuse to eat healthy or even sanely on Superbowl Sunday.

Rainey, I am sooooo ready! We started eating at Thanksgiving and have not stopped. I, too, was losing weight in 09, but stopped when I had surgery (on advice from my doctor). Bad move. Never got going again. My brother kept going and has lost 30 lbs!!! He looks great! He would also like to lose 15 more, so I hope he joins us as well. I'm already working on it, but my official start won't be until I go back to work on January 4. I still feel on vacation right now to give it a good start.
Welcome aboard!!!

Thanks or inviting me! I had tried to lose weight in 09 and was successful then hurt my lower back and got back on the downhill and gained it back... those pounds are hard to get off too... but I have to... I need to lower my blood pressure and keep a closer eye on my blood sugar! SO count me in! If you check out the older posts on my blog you will see recipes and things I have cooked to make diet more appetizing!
I look forward to losin with you all!
