Near my parent's home in Franklin, every so often we'll see a glimpse of the albino deer or we hear tales from others who have encountered it. Rumor has it the deer is not really albino, but a variety of Canadian deer that has taken residence in middle Tennessee. I don't know which story is more believable, a Canadian deer this far south or an albino deer that shows up in both Franklin and Brentwood.
There isn't a herd of them. When you see deer, you usually see more than one. And in the group, the albino deer is the only solid white deer.
