Sandra Bullock has been nominated for an Oscar for her role in “The Blindside.” This story is based on a true story which happened in Memphis, Tennessee, about Raven's rookie Michael Oher.
Other than Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, Jeremy Renner, Morgan Freeman, Mo’nique, and Maggie Gyllenhaal are all among those nominated for awards for performances in various movies.
Morgan Freeman is actually from Memphis, TN. He is best known for his roles in Driving Miss Daisy, Glory, Seven, The Shawshank Redemption, Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty, but I remember seeing him first on TV when I was in the 3rd grade. On the PBS educational show for children Electric Company, Morgan Freemas was Easy Reader.
Morgan Freeman is also very successful for his narration talents. He narrated March of the Penguins, numerous commercials, and replaced Walter Cronkite at the beginning of the year as the voiceover introdution to the CBS evening news.
