During the Columbia, TN, Mule Day celebration many contest will be taking place. There is the competition for Mule Day Queen. Then there is the mule-driving contest. The floats compete for prizes in the parade. And the mules compete for different awards, such as "best of show." There is even a log loading race. But no other competition compares to the Mule Day Liars’ Contest.
The Liars' Contest is a fun-filled event with tall tales, fish stories, and good clean fun. The contest is an annual competition held in the auditorium of Central High School, which adjoins Maury County Park and is sponsored by the schools Parent Teacher Student Association. This year it is scheduled for 7pm on Friday evening, April 9. Tickets are $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
