Spring in East Tennessee

This weekend finds me in Pigeon Forge, TN, in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee. Not far from home, this is a great weekend get-away for your entire family. But don't venture this direction if you are suffering from spring fever. The upper mountains still have 41 inches of snow and frozen cascades. Just look at the photo of Ramsey Cascades taken last week. If you plan your visit before May, pack your snowshoes!
