Just two summers ago in 2008, the sleepy small town of Columbia, Tennessee, was transformed into Crowley’s Corner, the fictional hometown of Hannah Montana in Hannah Montana the Movie.
Starring middle Tennessee’s own Miley Cyrus, the movie transformed Columbia into the home of Georgio’s Italian Restaurante, the Country Sole Shoe store and a street-side farmers market. The courthouse received a revolving door and local citizens became actors in a major motion picture.
Franklin High School’s side entrance where the gym is located got a facelift with Palm Trees and became, if only for a few days, a southern California beach town high school. Ah, the magic of the movies….
