Art Effects 2012

This past weekend I participated in the 6th annual Art Effects art show in Columbia, Tennnessee. 

More than 80 individuals served as sponsors and/or volunteers for the 2012 show. And more than 400 art patrons attended the show. Together we raised more than $15,000 for the Foundation’s Community Health Fund. This money will go a long way to assist our at-risk population in the community with their health care needs.

Brenda Pierce offered lovely hand-made jewelry, adirondack chairs, along with other two dimensional art pieces.

I love the whimsy of JJ Sneed's paintings....

 

Kay Keyes Farrar's paintings are as lovely as ever. The pink roses on the picket fence were my favorite!

 

Everyone loved Karen Philpott's painted Zinnias. 

 

Laine Barley's booth was adorable!

Carol DeMumbrom was there. She is one of my all-time favorite artists!

And the 2012 Featured Artist as well as the winner of the "Artists Choice" award was Deann Hebert.

It won't be long before we'll have to start painting for next year's show. Mark you calendar now for the first weekend in August and come visit us at the Memorial Building in historic downtown Columbia.
