Good morning Sunshine!
It's a challenge to get out all the news and class information each month in this newsletter without it turning into a tome. In an effort to get your the information you are most interested in, I've re-organized the newsletter into headings which you can choose to read or not read. The headings are Letter, Calendar, Classes and Workshops, Art-related events, Art Shows and Exhibits, Photos of painting classes, Photos of new paintings, Quick Links, Words of Wisdom, and Art-related Merchandise.
Only interested in class schedule? Check out the Calendar. Need more information on a particular class? Check out the "Classes and Workshops" header.
And you can always go to www.paintingwithsusan.com. Questions? Suggestions? Call or Text me, 615-668-8263.
* Monthly Calendar: A few of these dates and locations were tentative at time of newsletter publication.
For more information on classes and workshops, visit www.paintingwithsusan.com or call 615-668-8263.
Yes, the calendar is too small to read, so place your cursor on it and right-click. Now save it to your computer and enlarge it for better readability. Or click here.

Painting En Plein Air --Saturday October 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
We are all artists on a creative journey. One of the most memorable mile markers is the realization that we are painting light, not objects. Join me and leave the comfort of indoors to learn the lessons painting outdoors can teach.
My plein air painting class will focus on the essential challenges of painting outdoors: the ability to see light, to simplify and organize the subject matter, and to present it in a simple and straightforward manner.
The class is open to artists of all levels. However, the goal for the class is to teach the fundamentals of plein air painting, put the student on a path that is self-sustaining, meet other creative spirits, and to have fun.
Easels and painting supplies are provided in your class fee of $149. We will be using water-soluble oil paints.
Wear comfortable painting clothes and shoes. A hat or visor is recommended. Bring a sack lunch.
Beginners are welcomed and encouraged.
Reservations are required, 615-599-4006 or you may register on-line here.
