Today was the first day of Brentwood Academy's Winterim. One of their teachers, Debbie Dunn, invited me last April to offer an art class at The Art Attic to a group of students during this time. I was delighted and with good reason. Today I spent the day with some of the sweetest, prettiest, most talented young artists painting, chatting and lunching at Mellow Mushroom.
And the best part? I get to go back tomorrow and do it again. This is what we painted today.
One of my collectors purchased a small painting of a rose in order to donate it the the 65 Roses fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis at Independence Gallery in Loveland, Colorado, next month. Thought I would surprise her and paint a new piece to donate as well. This miniature is headed west.
