My dear friend Scott is the only person I know that actually lived in the Belmont Mansion. He has a passion for history, historic architecture, and antiques. And I feel very blessed to have him as a friend. Recently he offered to give me and my parents a personal tour of the Belmont Mansion. I had just read Tamara Alexander's book set in the mansion in it's prime, and was very excited to see the inside from the viewpoint of an insider. The day was gorgeous and the mansion didn't disappoint. Beautiful, beautiful!!
This painting is my representation of the music room.
I was so excited to be invited to be the featured artist at Shuff's Music in Franklin, Tennessee, for the April 3 Art Crawl. I've been in two art shows in Nashville in the past three months, so I wanted to paint all new pieces for this event. And since I paint with Oils that don't dry quickly, I had to start painting immediately.
